Klimafolkemødet 2025 – The Ultimate Climate Festival

Are you ready to join one of Denmark’s biggest and most inspiring climate events? Klimafolkemødet, also known as The Climate Festival, is back from August 28th to 30th in the charming harbor town of Middelfart… and it’s going to be bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever!

What’s Klimafolkemødet all about?
Think of it as a lively, free-for-all celebration and action hub that brings together decision-makers, companies, organizations, and citizens like YOU to talk, act, and create solutions for the climate crisis. It’s part festival, part summit, and 100% packed with energy and ideas under this year’s theme: Climate Action Together.

Why should you care?
Because Klimafolkemødet sets the climate crisis front and center with hundreds of debates, workshops, talks, cultural events, and concerts. In 2024, the festival attracted a whopping 40,000 visitors, and 2025 promises to be even better!

What’s on the program?
The festival brings you more than 400 events, from deep-dive debates to hands-on workshops. You’ll discover solutions on everything from textile upcycling to sustainable local energy communities. Plus, over 100 stalls showcase fresh ideas and inspiration to help you live greener.

Get inspired by incredible personalities:
Expect to hear from figures shaping the climate conversation like:

  • Lars Aagaard, Denmark’s Minister for Climate, Energy, and Utilities
  • Connie Hedegaard, former EU Commissioner and climate heavyweight
  • Jeppe Bruus, Minister for Green Social Partnership
  • Christel Schaldemose, Member of the European Parliament
  • Sebastian Mernild, Climate Professor and leader of SDU Climate Cluster
  • Plus creatives like Kristian Leth (author, musician, journalist), Mathilde Walter Clark (author), and bands like HeartBeat Group and Hr. Skæg ready to bring some vibes to the festival.

What else?
The festival site is nestled right at the Middelfart harbor with plenty of climate-friendly food options, including a street food market with tasty green dishes and a restaurant tent by Sinatur Mad & Mødested. Bring your friends, your family, or just your curiosity: entry to most events is free, and no registration is needed.

Whether you want to learn, debate, or just have a great time supporting the planet, Klimafolkemødet 2025 has something for everyone!
