Together, we believe in empowering citizens to co-create innovative, nature-inspired strategies for building greener, more resilient communities across Europe and beyond.
Seeds of change – Citizens growing nature-based futures
The NATURANCE project is excited to announce the launch of Naturethon 2025, a unique citizen engagement initiative inviting individuals and groups across Europe to co-create innovative financial strategies for Nature-based Solutions aimed at climate action and disaster risk mitigation.
Naturethon empowers citizens to become active participants in shaping a greener, more resilient future. From October to November 2025, join three interactive online training events featuring keynote talks by leading experts, collaborative discussions, and hands-on activities on a digital platform designed to support idea exchange and community-driven action.
What is Naturethon?
Naturethon is a dynamic event where citizens and non-experts come together to exchange ideas and identify practical NBS that address local climate challenges. By participating, you help redefine how nature-based solutions are understood, adopted, and implemented in your community.
How to participate?
- Go to the website and Download the booklet
- Subscribe to the Naturethon newsletter to receive event invitations, resources, and ongoing support.
- Register your group or join as an individual to take part in online training sessions starting this October.
- Engage in group discussions to develop your ideas for local NBS interventions.
- Submit your ideas in any format you prefer: text, drawings, videos, or other creative mediums.
All participants receive a certificate, and outstanding proposals will be awarded with:
- A tree planted in your group’s name via Treedom.
- A NATURANCE water bottle for each member.
- An invitation for representatives of the winning groups to present their ideas at the Finance Innovation Festival in Brussels in February 2026.
