The ARCADIA project is excited to support Naturethon, an initiative organized by the Naturance project to explore innovative financial solutions for Nature-based Solutions (NbS). This collaborative and interdisciplinary event brings together experts, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to co-develop actionable strategies that integrate NbS into sustainable finance frameworks.
What is Naturethon?
Naturethon is an interactive event designed to address key challenges in financing NbS, encouraging participants to:

- Develop interdisciplinary approaches that connect finance, policy, and science.
- Collaborate on case studies to identify best practices for funding and scaling NbS initiatives.

However, unlocking their full potential requires robust financial models and supportive policy frameworks. Naturethon is part of the engagement strategy of NATURANCE, an EU-funded project (2022-2026) that assesses the feasibility and performance of solutions built on disaster risk financing and Nature-based Solutions investments. NATURANCE connects existing major knowledge networks and fosters cross-domain knowledge sharing and collaborative marketplace for innovative nature-based insurance and investment solutions.
